I tried rebooting, updating carrier settings, restoring, toggling airplane mode on and off, resetting network settings, toggling cellular data on and off etc nothing works. My iphone x is on ios 12.1.1 . what is the problem ? i need my data.

It’s not working ! Even with wifi on
Adding to the procedure go to Settings / General / Informations
You should see Fizz 34.1 on the Operator line.
Also look into Settings / Mobile Data / Select Operator / should be set to automatic.
If it is, turn automatic off and wait to see if Fizz shows up in the list and select it.
Some users reported having the carrier update triggered that way with the WiFi on.
